Adrian B. Herrera is an award-winning filmmaker and Cinematographer based out of Kansas City, MO.
His work has appeared on TV networks & streaming platforms such as ESPN, Netflix, Peacock, NBC, CBS, A&E, NFL Network, Fox Sports, & continues to produce cinematography work often for shows like NFL Countdown, SC Featured (ESPN), E60, and the like.
Capturing everything from commercials, documentaries, corporate work, and television; the diverse skillset he brings to projects as a Cinematographer has proven to be a great asset to the directors and producers he’s built strong relationships with around the world including collaborating as DP as well as being rostered on the team for the Emmy Award-Winning production company Second Wind Creative (“Prime” - Amazon, “Sign Stealer” - Netflix, & “Chuck & Tito” - ESPN 30 for 30).
Winner for “Best Screenplay” from the San Diego Short Film Festival and official selections from multiple film festivals worldwide in 2024 as writer/director for his short film “Meal Ticket”, his passion for film goes beyond just Cinematography, and it’s that same passion for the art of film and background as a director, that he also brings to every project he films as a cinematographer.
In addition to working as a cinematographer & filmmaker, Adrian enjoys teaching, mentoring, & sharing his experiences through an online cinematography community he founded called “The Cinematography Lounge” which continues to be a rewarding & fulfilling endeavor. Outside of the world of film he serves on the board of a non-profit called “Community Unite Foundation” based in his hometown Topeka, Kansas whose mission is to serve the youth through sports & education. Which also aligns with his passions as an accomplished former athlete & collegiate basketball player.
As a multi-ethnic DP (Latino, Black, & Native), Adrian values the importance of diversity on and off of set, and champions the opportunity to create positive change for underrepresented communities in the film industry.
Most importantly, his faith and role as a husband & father are what truly defines his character and are his guiding motivation wherever he goes.
